Job Role: Supply Chain and AI Domain Consultant

Location: London

Career Level: Consultant (CL9)

Salary: Competitive, plus benefits.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Supply Chain and AI Domain Consultant to join our growing UKI Supply Chain and Engineering Data and AI team. This role is designed for professionals who combine an understanding of supply chain, procurement or operations with a genuine interest and growing capability in Data and AI, and who want to build a career at the point where these disciplines converge.

You might come from a supply chain or operations background and have developed strong data and analytics skills. You might come from a data science or analytics role and have worked in, or closely alongside, supply chain functions. Or you might have joined directly from a technology, consulting or academic environment with exposure to both worlds. What matters is your curiosity, your analytical ability and your appetite to learn how AI is changing the way supply chains and operations are designed, managed and improved.

Why this role:

Join an expert, collaborative community at the leading edge of supply chain and AI reinvention. You will benefit from structured development, hands‑on client exposure and the opportunity to build a distinctive career spanning data and AI, supply chain strategy, and technology delivery, supported by world‑class tools, methodologies and colleagues.

In this role you will:
  • Analytics and insight: Conduct supply chain diagnostics, spend analysis, demand and inventory modelling, process benchmarking and network analysis, drawing on data to surface insights and quantify value for clients.
  • AI and data application: Help clients and project teams explore, prototype and deploy AI, machine learning and automation solutions for supply chain use cases such as demand forecasting, supplier risk scoring, procurement analytics, planning optimisation and anomaly detection.
  • Project delivery: Contribute to consulting engagements through structured problem‑solving, hypothesis development, analysis, data modelling and recommendation building, working as part of multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Client engagement: Participate in workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews; capture requirements, translate findings into structured outputs and help communicate recommendations clearly and compellingly.
  • Deliverables: Produce well‑structured client‑ready materials including data visualisations, process analyses, AI use‑case assessments, operating model inputs and implementation roadmaps.
  • Technology platforms: Work with and learn supply chain, procurement and AI platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Kinaxis, o9, Coupa, Celonis, Azure ML, Databricks and "Power BI", understanding both their functional value and their data and AI capabilities. Additionally, work with and learn Decision Intelligence platforms such as Aera Technology and Palantir .
  • Practice contribution: Contribute to thought leadership, reusable assets and knowledge sharing; stay current on AI developments in supply chain including agentic AI, generative AI for procurement and AI‑powered planning.
What's in it for you

At Accenture in addition to a competitive basic salary, you will also have an extensive benefits package which includes 30 days vacation per year, private medical insurance and 3 extra days leave per year for charitable work of your choice!

Flexibility and mobility are required to deliver this role as there will be requirements to spend time onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery of the first‑class services we are known for.

Closing Date for Applications: 30/11/2026

Accenture reserves the right to close the role prior to this date should a suitable applicant be found.

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

You are analytically strong, intellectually curious and motivated by the challenge of making AI work in the real world of supply chains and operations. You bring some experience of both the functional and data and AI sides of the equation, and a clear appetite to deepen your capability across both.

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years in supply chain, procurement, operations, data analytics, data science, or technology consulting in a consulting, industry or technology environment, or a combination.
  • Supply chain and operations knowledge: A working understanding of supply chain or operations concepts such as demand planning, S&OP or IBP, procurement, inventory management, logistics or manufacturing operations, gained through work experience, study or project exposure.
  • Data and AI capability: Confidence working with data, building models, conducting analysis and drawing conclusions using tools such as Python, SQL, R or BI platforms. Exposure and competence with machine learning, AI applications, automation or analytics tooling in a supply chain or operational context is a strong advantage.
  • Technology exposure: Some familiarity with supply chain, ERP, procurement or analytics/Decision Intelligence platforms. An interest in understanding how AI integrates with these systems is as valuable as deep prior expertise.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills: Structured thinker with the ability to break down complex problems, build clear narratives from data and develop evidence‑based recommendations.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to produce clear, well‑structured deliverables and present findings to mixed audiences with confidence.
  • Broader perspective: Interest in sustainability, resilience, regulatory requirements such as EUDR and CSDDD, and the ethical dimensions of AI in supply chain decision‑making.
  • Education and mobility: A relevant degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Data Science or equivalent. APICS CPIM, CIPS, Lean Six Sigma or data and AI certifications are a bonus. Willingness to travel to client sites is required.
