Job summary

KNDS UK in Stockport is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to optimise performance, enhance data visibility, and support timely, cost-effective delivery of materials for Boxer and Bridges projects.

You will work with procurement, logistics and production to drive operational excellence, develop KPI dashboards, and ensure compliance with defence standards. A strong analytical background, ERP experience and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Extensive experience in supply chain analysis within manufacturing/defence environments.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel, SAP and data visualization tools (Power BI).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-driven setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyse supply chain data for Boxer and Bridges projects to identify risks and bottlenecks.
• Manage multiple planning metrics to support sustainable, production-driven supply chains.
• Develop KPIs dashboards to monitor lead times, inventory, and supplier reliability.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics and production to align with schedules and contracts.
• Support demand planning and forecasting using historic data and schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance including delivery accuracy and quality issues.
• Assist in SAP tool implementations to improve data accuracy and reporting.
• Contribute to process mapping and continuous improvement across supply chain.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders and project managers.
• Ensure compliance with defence standards, export controls and KNDS policies.

About the role:

The primary purpose of this role is to focus on optimising supply chain performance, improving data visibility, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and components. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and support strategic decision-making across these high-profile projects.

Key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Analyse supply chain data specific to the Boxer and Bridges projects to identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Actively manage multiple planning performance metrics to drive a sustainable and effective supply chain that fulfils production build requirements.

• Develop and maintain project-specific KPI dashboards to monitor performance, lead times, inventory levels, and supplier reliability.

• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure alignment with project timelines and contractual obligations.

• Support demand planning and forecasting activities using historical data, project schedules, and supplier input.

• Monitor and report on supplier performance, including delivery accuracy, quality issues, and responsiveness.

• Assist in the implementation and enhancement of SAP tools and processes to improve data accuracy and reporting.

• Contribute to process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

• Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and project managers to support decision-making and governance.

• Ensure compliance with defence industry standards, export controls, and KNDS policies.

What we’re looking for:

Candidates must have the following essential qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in supply chain analysis, ideally within a manufacturing or defence environment.

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, SAP, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a project-driven environment.

• Displays the flexibility and resilience required to manage change and maintain performance.

• Highly effective at managing time and prioritising workload in a fast-paced environment.

The following are desirable:

• Familiarity with defence procurement and project management principles is an advantage.

• Experience supporting complex engineering or defence programmes.

• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

• Understanding of MoD requirements and defence logistics frameworks.
