Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Supply Analyst/Planner to manage material supply from key suppliers through global warehouses. You will use forecasts, safety stock and stock levels to maintain product availability and provide weekly updates for the team.

The role requires experience in supply chain planning, supplier relationship management, and familiarity with SAP. It offers a UK-based position with opportunities to optimise working capital and revenue.

Qualifications

• Business degree or equivalent experience.
• HNC equivalent qualification in inventory or supply chain.
• Supply chain and/or Inventory planning experience.
• General knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
• Business understanding of Inventory, logistics, finance, manufacturing.
• A positive attitude and good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Relationship management of key suppliers for continuous material supply.
• Timely placement of purchase orders, circulation of detailed forecasts, negotiation and agreement of committed delivery schedules.
• Develop plans and hold weekly supplier review meetings for material production requirements to ensure a controlled flow of product.
• Expedite, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders to achieve inventory targets while maintaining delivery performance.
• Monitor customer order backlog and prioritise production to recover and maximise revenue.
• Hold supplier component supply reviews and circulate procurement issues for resolution.
• Create and manage indirect purchase orders using Teledyne Smart Source (TSS - Ivalua).
• Escalate supply chain and forecasting issues to prevent inventory imbalances.
• Measure suppliers to maintain or improve delivery performance.
• Maintain SAP planning parameters and delivery schedule data in MRP system (SAP).
• Perform and/or manage supplier pricing updates and update open purchase orders.

Education

Business degree or equivalent experience

HNC equivalent qualification in inventory or supply chain

Supply chain and/or Inventory planning experience

General knowledge of SAP would be an advantage

Business understanding of Inventory, logistics, finance, manufacturing

Job Summary:

As a Supply Analyst/Planner, you will join a small but mighty team to manage the product supply from key suppliers through to the global distribution warehouses, ensuring finished product availability globally through use of forecast demand, safety stock and target stock levels. You will also maintain product confirmation dates and produce weekly updates for the team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Relationship management of key suppliers for continuous material supply.

• Timely placement of purchase orders, circulation of detailed forecasts, negotiation and agreement of committed delivery schedules.

• Develop plans and hold weekly supplier review meeting for material production requirements to ensure a controlled flow of product to meet customer demand for the Business, maximise revenue and optimise working capital turns.

• Expedite, reschedule, and cancel purchase order quantities with key suppliers to achieve business inventory targets while maintaining customer delivery performance requirements.

• Monitor customer order backlog, prioritise production to recover, supporting order services teams and maximizing revenue. Provide updates on material availability.

• Hold supplier component supply reviews, monitor and circulate relevant procurement issues for support and resolution

• Create and manage indirect purchase orders using e-procurement tool Teledyne Smart Source (TSS - Ivalua)

• Escalation of supply chain and forecasting issues to prevent excess/insufficient inventory. Identify relevant opportunities to destock inventory on hand through rework or alternative means.

• Measure key suppliers to maintain or improve supplier delivery performance.

• Maintain accuracy of all associated SAP planning parameters and delivery schedule data in MRP system (SAP).

• Perform and/or manage supplier pricing updates, update open purchase orders and supplier info records.
