Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Daventry seeks a Supplier Quality student for a full-time, hybrid placement. You will support APQP/PPAP activities, maintain CQMS and PPAP records, and assist with supplier risk assessments.

The role requires on-site work three days per week with relocation/travel as needed. Starting Summer 2027, you’ll gain real industrial exposure while studying. You will work with cross-functional teams, develop quality processes, and participate in community activities as part of Cummins

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or a related Business field.
• Self-motivated and capable of independent work with strong time management.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong MS Office skills: Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support Power Systems VPI APQP/PPAP activities for high/med/low risk suppliers.
• Maintain and update CQMS, Source Release and PPAP activities via reporting.
• Support supplier risk assessments and supplier visits.
• Complete 6Sigma Yellow Belt and lead Green Belt project to improve QA processes.
• Identify and resolve project issues in collaboration with others.
• Participate in Cummins Corporate Responsibility community activities.
