Job Description - Supplier Management Specialist (16344)

TEAM

The ITSO (IT Services Operations) organisation manages and is accountable for the rapid delivery of the trustworthy, scalable, and efficient IT infrastructure services needed to support the technology critical for easyJet’s future growth plans and ambitions.

Supplier Management is a key function, ensuring services are provided on time, to the correct quality and cost. Frequent engagement is used to ensure services are delivered to contractual standards and there now exists a requirement to bring more of this activity under the control of the IT Supplier and Contract Management team.

JOB PURPOSE

The Supplier Management Specialist implements the IT Supplier & Contract Management framework within selected Platforms or Products, in order to:

  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met and that risks are captured and managed
  • Facilitate fortnightly service reviews, ensuring services are performed against contractual SLA’s & XLA’s
  • Prepare inputs for Executive Supplier Reports
  • Deal with all internal and external escalations for single supply or full-service suppliers
  • Work with cost centre owners to: Define budgetary inputs and track supplier spend; Identify and implement cost optimisation opportunities

Requirements of the Role

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Several years of experience within an IT department in a role related to procurement or supplier management.
  • Experience in supplier management, or contract management roles including knowledge of contract lifecycle management.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory aspects related to IT contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Experienced at managing complex contracts and the associated supplier relationships.
  • Experience in IT governance, including experience in policy definition and process improvements within a large or complex organisation.
  • Experience in maximising effectiveness of nearshore / offshore resource models and experience in managing and delivering through third-party suppliers, focusing on business outcomes and employee experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to perform remediation activity with both suppliers and internal teams in the event of service or contractual failures.
  • Experience acting as a first point of contact in the event of supplier or internal escalations, ensuring any such escalation is managed through to conclusion.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence at all levels to achieve a successful outcome.
  • Analytical and numerate with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Data-savvy: strong data analysis skills.
  • Budget planning and financial management skills, preferably with showback and/or chargeback models.

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK

This full-time role will be based in Luton, and will be 40 hours per week. Some occasional travel may be required.
