Join this leading food manufacturer in a pivotal role overseeing supplier risk management, auditing, and performance improvement across a diverse, high-spec ingredients supply base.

This role bridges Procurement, Technical Services, and Regulatory functions, ensuring every supplier consistently meets the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance.

It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety and influence - combining technical expertise with strong relationship management skills.

The role is based in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire - easily commutable from Cambridge, Bedford, Huntingdon, Milton Keynes, Letchworth, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage supplier approval, onboarding, and performance in line with GFSI and customer standards.
  • Lead supplier risk assessments and coordinate on-site and remote audits.
  • Track supplier KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
  • Act as technical lead during customer and third-party audits.
  • Partner with Procurement and R&D to support innovation and problem-solving through supplier collaboration.
  • Lead and develop a small team of Raw Material Technologists.

About You

You’ll have a strong background in food safety, supplier quality, or compliance within food or ingredient manufacturing, ideally supported by a Lead Auditor qualification.
