Job summary

GO Outdoors is seeking a Supervisor to help run the shop floor in our York store, delivering the high service standards our customers expect. You’ll support colleagues across shifts, maintain presentation, and assist with daily operational tasks under Store Management.

You’ll need previous supervisory or team-leader experience in fast-paced retail, strong communication, keen attention to detail, and a passion for retail, product knowledge and upholding our values and behaviours.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team-leader experience in fast-paced retail or customer-facing environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to guide colleagues on the shop floor.
• Excellent attention to detail with high standards in service, presentation, and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service by supporting customers, resolving queries, and ensuring team presentation meets brand expectations.
• Support sales performance by monitoring service levels, using in-store devices to offer the full product range, and assisting with product placement.
• Maintain strong visual and operational standards by keeping the shop floor clean, organised, and aligned with brand standards.
• Assist with daily operational duties including opening and closing procedures, cashing up, and supporting accurate till operations.

Role Overview As a Supervisor, you play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the shop floor and delivering the high service standards our customers expect. You play an active role in supporting colleagues throughout each shift, helping to maintain high standards of service, presentation and store performance. You’ll also support daily operational tasks as directed by Store Management.
