Job summary

Frasers Group is seeking a Supervisor - Facilities (Technical Cleaning) to oversee the daily operations of the cleaning team within our warehouse facilities. You will work closely with the Section Manager, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and waste management in high‑risk, low‑usage areas while maintaining compliance with COSHH and safety policies.

Day shift 5.45am–2.45pm; you will lead a team, manage schedules, and perform spot checks to guarantee quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience in a warehouse or large-scale facility
• Experience in soft services and cleaning/waste management
• Familiar with CAFM systems and MS Office 365
• Knowledge of ISSA, CIMS, BICSc standards and BS EN 13549:2001 would be an asset
• Ability to lead, supervise and develop a team and manage KPIs

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cleaning tasks and priorities with the section manager
• Supervise and support the cleaning team across shifts
• Oversee daily cleaning operations and waste management in the warehouse
• Monitor team wellbeing and escalate concerns as needed
• Conduct performance reviews and manage personnel KPIs
• Administer scheduling and reporting software
• Ensure adherence to COSHH, Manual Handling and Health & Safety policies
• Maintain equipment, trainings and service records per policy
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal departments
• Cover the Section Manager role when required
• Plan routine and reactive cleaning tasks according to business needs
• Support wider Facilities team in maintaining warehouse standards
• Perform spot-checks to ensure quality of work

The Role:

As a key support to the Section Manager, you will oversee the daily operations and shift management of the technical cleaning team. Working closely with Facilities, Automation, and Operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and care in high-risk, low-usage areas within the warehouse.

This role requires strict adherence to company policies and procedures, including COSHH, Manual Handling, and Health & Safety regulations. You will also attend annual training on cleaning machinery and commercial equipment. Your primary responsibility is to maintain a clean, well-presented warehouse, focusing on hard-to-reach operational zones while ensuring general cleaning and waste management standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the section manager to coordinate cleaning tasks and priorities.
• Assist in leading the team, providing supervision, and managing team members.
• Oversee daily departmental activities and cleaning operations.
• Monitor team wellbeing, providing support where possible and escalating concerns when necessary.
• Conduct 1-2-1 performance reviews and manage the team using KPIs.
• Administer software systems used for scheduling and reporting.
• Supervise cleaning shifts across multiple schedules.
• Provide technical support across different shifts.
• Step in to cover the Section Manager role when required.
• Ensure all staff training and equipment maintenance align with company guidelines.
• Plan and schedule both routine and reactive cleaning tasks based on business needs.
• Liaise with warehouse associates, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Contribute to project work as needed.
• Support the wider Facilities team in maintaining warehouse standards.
• Conduct spot-checks to ensure work quality.
• Maintain service records and manage cleaning equipment in compliance with company policies.
• Assist with any operational tasks as required by the business.

This role will be day shift, 5.45am-2.45pm Rotation shift pattern

• Minimum of three years’ experience in a warehouse or large-scale facility, managing all aspects of cleaning and waste management to support the site's daily, weekly, and long-term operations.
• Background in soft services with relevant qualifications or experience.
• Proficient in operating modern cleaning machinery.
• Experience using CAFM systems and Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to follow and convey instructions effectively.
• Solid understanding of industry standards and best practices, including:
  • The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA) and Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS)
  • The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc)
  • British Standard BS EN 13549:2001 (Cleaning services – quality measuring systems)
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable and open to new ideas, with a willingness to adjust to evolving demands and challenges.
• Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing expertise and collaboration to find effective solutions.
• Independent, self-motivated, and determined, with the resilience to sustain effort and hard work over extended periods.
