Salary: £41,818.21 + 5% shift Allowance

Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Whitemoor, a high‑security adult/male prison. Our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to smooth and safe operation, ensuring a secure environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors.

As an Electrical Supervisor you will work alongside experienced electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators. You will oversee electrical work, support rehabilitation initiatives, and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience as an electrician or equivalent.
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical building services.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Full driving license, preferably with D1.
• Certificates in C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements for Electrical Installations.
• Knowledge of 17th or 18th Edition regulations.
• Good health & safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management, and people skills.
