Job summary

The Cow and Sow is seeking an energetic Supervisor to lead our farmshop and restaurant team during service, ensuring guests receive an exceptional experience.

You will work closely with the General and Assistant Manager, supervise front-of-house, coordinate with kitchen and farmshop, and help new colleagues settle in. If you are passionate about hospitality and thrive in a busy, welcoming environment, this is a great next step in your career.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise the front-of-house team during service and help ensure smooth running of each shift.

We're looking for an energetic, passionate, and hospitality-focused Supervisor to join our farmshop & restaurant team.

Working closely with the General and Assistant Manager, you'll help lead the team during service, ensuring everything runs smoothly and our guests receive an exceptional experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supervising the front-of-house team during service and helping ensure the smooth running of each shift.
• Leading by example and creating a positive, friendly and welcoming environment for both guests and colleagues.
• Delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring consistently high service standards.
• Supporting the team with opening and closing procedures.
• Helping to coordinate service between the restaurant, farmshop and kitchen.
• Ensuring tables, restaurant areas and guest spaces are presented to a consistently high standard.
• Supporting team members with their day-to-day responsibilities and helping new colleagues settle into the team.
• Dealing confidently and professionally with guest questions, requests and feedback.
• Supporting the General and Assistant Manager with events, promotions and seasonal activities.
• Helping to monitor stock and minimise waste.
• Maintaining excellent food safety, health & safety and compliance standards.
• Taking responsibility for the smooth running of the shift when required.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, café, farmshop or food service.
• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience would be beneficial.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and great customer service.
• Friendly, confident and approachable with excellent communication skills.
• Organised and able to remain calm and positive during busy services.
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is happy to lead by example.
• A good understanding of food safety, health & safety and hospitality standards.
• A genuine enthusiasm for local food, farming and community.
• Someone with energy, initiative and a positive attitude.
