Job summary

BSW Group is seeking an experienced Supervisor for our Peterborough (Upwood) site. You will oversee pallet production, repair processes and yard operations, managing direct staff to ensure smooth production and on-time deliveries.

Lead by example while upholding health and safety procedures and building strong working relationships with the management team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading a team, making timely decisions, and driving production and quality targets

Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Supervisor to join our Manufacturing team at our Peterborough (Upwood) site.

Reporting to the Site Manager, this role will oversee the pallet manufacturing and repair process, in addition to yard operations. You will manage all direct staff to ensure the smooth running of the production, repair and yard processes. Ensure all products are made to the correct specifications, and all targets and deadlines are met to fulfil orders. Lead and set the standard with the Company's Health and Safety procedures.

Your duties will include but not limited to, taking full responsibility of the operational team in terms of management of staff, management of production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production and yard processes. The successful individual shall effectively drive a customer focused team, to ensure all products are delivered to the customer on time and to the specified standard. You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with the management team to ensure optimal performance of site operations.

As an experienced Supervisor you will have a proven track record in leading and mentoring a team whilst leading by example. You should be able to make appropriate decisions while following the company's organisational standards and also ensure any decisions which require escalation are done so in a timely manner. Excellent attention to detail and competency in decision making and problem solving is key to success.
