Job description

Grind is a hospitality company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, the brand has expanded across London with restaurants and café-bars, burning the candle at both ends to serve coffee, food, and cocktails to a killer soundtrack.

We are looking for the next generation of Managers who are passionate about the hospitality industry and progressing their career to join our team. As a Supervisor, we expect the usual stuff on a day-to-day basis, helping to run your site in style and supporting your management team to meet site targets and team goals. In return our senior management team will invest time and energy towards helping you to push your career to the next stage, whatever that looks like for you.

To be eligible for this role, you will need to demonstrate confidence in leading the small team. You must drive service and sales, and be the constant face of energy and passion on the floor! We expect previous experience in hospitality management, strong experience in supporting a all yet very busy team, and a 'work with the team' approach / attitude at all times.

This is a new coffee truck location right outside of GRIND HQ! Therefore coffee making is

Role Responsibilities

Support the management team in the running of a high volume & fast-paced coffee-truck

Possess full understanding of GRIND Steps of Service

Deliver exemplary service in line with our procedures

Effectively support a busy team of employees

Help to deliver training & developing programs to staff

Support in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees into the business

Motivate all staff and project a positive attitude at all times.

To participate in regular team meetings and in necessary Management meetings.

To abide by the house rules at all times

Displays a smart and professional appearance, representing the company in a positive manner

Skills Required

Strong leadership skills

Possess excellent communication skills to enable effective dialogue with colleagues and customers

Ability to work well under pressure and use initiative

Ability to problem solve and escale complaints accordingly

Dedicated team-player, who strives for excellence and leads by example

Strong time-management and prioritisation skills

Coffee-making skills, ideally having used La Marzocco machines
