Job description

ATP Media was formed in 1999 and has unrivalled access and expertise in the live broadcast and production of Men’s professional tennis with an end‑to‑end solution for global broadcasters incorporating rights sales, multi‑platform production and worldwide delivery for the ATP Masters 1000s, ATP 500s, ATP 250s, season‑ending Nitto ATP Finals, and Next Gen ATP Finals tournaments.

We are looking to hire a Supervising Producer to work within the Live Production team on the ATP Masters 1000, ATP 500 & 250 tournaments, based in our production facility in London.

The Supervising Producer will be the key interface between our Live Production gallery team and our onsite production team. It’s a position of leadership and sets the tone for our remote production when we are in tournament mode, being the escalation point for any operational issues. ATP Media is looking for a dynamic, inquisitive, and positive team player for this position.

Responsibilities
Meticulous Pre‑Tournament Preparation
  • Lead pre‑production meetings with staff, freelance team and facilities provider.
  • Liaise with hub facilities provider in London, prior to each tournament, with regard to gallery set up and technical checks.
  • Liaise with World Feed producer, broadcast team and on‑site team to establish feeds required at the hub and complete all related documentation (produce video feed sheet working with World Feed Producer).
Operation Excellence During Live Production
  • Oversee all elements of the production from the hub during a tournament, being the key contact for all aspects including the facilities provider, graphics provider, live gallery crew, edit team and commentators, setting the tone for the production across the board.
  • Work with graphics team to ensure all broadcast graphics are present and correct.
  • Supervise live production gallery during tournaments and provide leadership to our freelance team.
  • Assist the World Feed producer with creative ideas and decision making.
  • Work closely with onsite team to ensure a good flow of both creative and technical information from on‑site to the World Feed gallery.
  • Help monitor incoming video and audio feeds, working closely with our broadcast operations and engineering team.
  • Quality check output from the edit before it is uploaded to the ATP Media portal.
  • Oversee all production documentation related to the tournament, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and available on our Broadcaster Media Portal in good time. Respond to broadcaster queries.
  • Keep live blog up to date throughout tournaments to inform broadcasters of changes to the match schedule and about important news, such as player retirements and court changes.
  • Upload documentation to the media portal as required.
People Management & Communication
  • Provide leadership and coordinate responses when technical issues arise.
  • Contact correct support staff and engineers when technical issues occur and look to improve workflows where appropriate to support the smooth‑running of the production.
  • Manage the commentary team and assist with commentary rota.
  • Assist production and production management team in crewing tournaments when required.
  • When not on a tournament, support the production team with tournament preparation and planning, both from an editorial and logistical perspective.

  • Solid technical knowledge of gallery and OB workflows.

The role involves significant time in the broadcast hub in London, involving weekend work and overnight hours. The ability to lead our production team in a positive and upbeat manner is an absolute pre‑requisite for this role.

ATP Media is a small company, so the role will expand to include a variety of other tasks. The candidate would have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an eye for detail, very good IT skills and a willingness to adapt to multiple tasks.

A clean driving licence is recommended.
