A leading healthcare organization in Wales is recruiting a Therapy Radiographer as a Treatment Superintendent. This role involves leading treatment teams, managing a patient-centred service, and overseeing staff training while utilizing advanced radiotherapy technology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, along with registered health profession credentials. Flexibility in working hours is required, with the opportunity to influence service development.

You'll have the opportunity to influence & develop the service working in a collaborative environment. We are seeking a dynamic, capable person with proven leadership abilities. You'll require excellent communication & interpersonal skills with experience of staff management & must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Knowledge in modern radiotherapy principles & practice gained through extensive post graduate practice & underpinned by continuous professional development is essential.
The department has 4 Varian Linear Accelerators (3 Truebeam, 1 Varian iX) & is about to undergo a period of machine replacement. Additionally, there's a Gulmay Orthovoltage Unit, CanonCT Planning Scanner, Prosoma, & an Eclipse TPS, with Surface Guided radiotherapy systems on all Truebeams. The department works an extended day & the post holder would be expected to work flexibly within the hours of 08:00 to 18:30 to cover the operational needs of the service & to participate in the on‑call rota. Core hours are between 08:30‑16:30. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
