Job summary

InHealth Group Limited is seeking a Superintendent MRI Radiographer to support the Operations Manager, provide clinical leadership, and supervise a team of Radiographers across two sites (Golders Green and Hornchurch).

You will also perform clinical MRI work as required and contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care within a 7-day service, including rota planning and staff development. This fixed-term role reports to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• BSc in diagnostic radiography or equivalent.
• HCPC registration or eligibility.
• Experience leading teams with coaching/mentoring abilities.
• Strong understanding of CQC fundamentals, health and safety, infection control, the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure; strong organizational/time management skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and lead, with a history of exceeding expectations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake MRI scans in line with modality-specific guidelines and protocols.
• Support the Operations Manager with clinical leadership and staff deputising.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care while meeting customer expectations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, IPC-compliant environment and escalate issues as needed.
• Manage departmental rota and ensure adequate staffing for 7-day service.
• Assist the service manager with recruitment, induction, and training of Radiography, Respiratory, and Phlebotomy staff.
• Maintain open communication with the team and stakeholders; deputise as Service Manager when required.

Job description

Hours: Monday-Sunday (Typical Monday- Friday) 36hrs a week (Participation in management on-call rota required).

Locatio n: Golders Green and Hornchurch - working across both sites

Contract: 1 Year

Following the Michael Richards report, in which it was highlighted that diagnostic services should be delivered taking a new approach to provide more accessibility to people in the community away from acute settings, we at InHealth are excited to be partnering with the NHS to develop new Community Diagnostic Centres to support this vison.

Right now, we are looking to recruita Superintendent MRI Radiographer,to support the Operations Manager and support managing the team of Radiographers. You will also work clinically if required.

This is a fixed term contract

What you will do:

• As an InHealth Superintendent Radiographer within the CDC you will be responsible for supporting staff, clinical leadership and deputising in the absence of the Operations Manager. You will operate in accordance with local guidelines and company policiesto deliver a service thatis aligned to contractual and governance requirements.

What you are responsible for:

• Undertaking MRI scans in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Ensuring the service delivers the highest standard of patient care whilst meeting customers’ expectations.
• Helping ensure the building is maintained and well kept, clean and in line with IPC standards and all issues surrounding this are escalated to the Service Manager.
• Supporting with the rota for the department, ensuring sufficient employee resource availability through effective planning
• Helping oversee all day to day activity across a 7 day service. Ensuring you are kept up to date on all InHealth’s processes and procedures
• Supporting the service manager to recruit, induct, train and support all Radiography, Respirator and Phlebotomy staff.
• Ensuring good communication is maintained and encouraged with the team and all stakeholders.
• Deputising as the Service Manager where required and support them with ad hoc duties.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A BSc in diagnostic radiography or equivalent
• A valid professional membership (HCPC registration)
• Experienced in leading teams with the ability to coach and mentor.
• Good understanding of CQC fundamental standards, Health & Safety, Infection Control, the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Well developed in organisational and time management skills, and able to prioritise conflicting demands.
• The ability to motivate and lead, with a desire to exceed expectations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
