Qualifications
- A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with demonstrative technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
 
- A customer‑focused approach
 
- A full UK driving licence
 
- Flexibility to work at short notice and open to travel with overnight stays, if necessary

Pay and Hours
- Competitive salary: £48,720 basic salary, with the opportunity to earn up to £54,000
 
- Weekly variety: you'll work the average 40 hours per week across the year, receiving your roster seven days in advance, with your core working hours confirmed three days prior.
 
- Thrive outside of 9‑5: shifts will fall between 06:00 and 02:00, and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Responsibilities
- Embrace flexibility – availability to work short notice and travel for overnight stays as required.
 
- Act as a problem‑solver and people‑person, keeping drivers safe and satisfied.
 
- Diagnose and repair faults, perform roadside services such as flat tyres or batteries, and manage the full range of incidents.
 
- Keep the van stocked with spare parts, tools, and supplies, and submit accurate reports.
 
- Communicate effectively with customers, demonstrating the RAC brand and service values.
 
- Work independently, driving your own van, while adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
