Job summary

A leading care provider is seeking a Live-in Care Professional to support clients in their homes in Greater London. The role involves providing companionship, assisting with personal care, and performing light housekeeping tasks. Candidates should be compassionate, organized, and respectful of diverse backgrounds. There are no formal qualifications required, but care experience is preferred. Offering £12 an hour for 10 active hours per day, with additional benefits including a referral bonus and health support.

Our visits always last for at least an hour, and our award-winning training ensures that our Care Professionals deliver only the best care. We match our Care Professionals to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enable us to provide personalised support. We’re proud of our excellent reputation for quality care we provide to our clients.

The live-in Care Professional will stay with the client 24/7 and will need to perform the below mentioned services.

Companionship Services

• Offer companionship and conversation.
• Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities (for example clothing selection, hobbies and crafts)
• Accompany to appointments and social events (for example visiting friends or family, lunch, club meetings)

Home Help Services

• Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, caring for houseplants etc.)
• Organise and tidy cupboards, check food expiry dates and shopping.
• Knowledge about good food safety and ability to cook healthy good Italian food meals from raw ingredients.

Personal Care

• Help with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Help with continence care.
• Consider and understand the point of view of the person with Dementia/Alzheimer.
• Assist with Morning and Evening routine.
• Ability to listen, communicate clearly and build relationships with clients and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner.
• Respect for people with different backgrounds and beliefs to your own and who may have a range of medical conditions. Commitment to non-discriminatory care practice.
• Excellent timekeeper who is organised and reliable.
• Good hygiene practice, including personal hygiene and a smart appearance.
• This role will require you to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the relevant body.
• Class 1 business insurance (if using own car for business purposes) or reliable transport.
