Job summary

Arup is offering a six-week summer internship in Structural Engineering, Leeds, with opportunities across the Buildings teams in the UK. You will carry out structural calculations, analysis and modelling, and contribute to practical, economical solutions while learning BIM and design communication methods.

The role targets students pursuing MSc/MEng/BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering with a genuine interest in the built environment and sustainable design.

Qualifications

• Studying towards MSc, MEng or BEng in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Genuine interest in structural engineering and in developing a career in the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural calculations, analysis and modelling for projects.
• Communicate through drawings, digital modelling and calculation documents.
• Help develop economical and practical structures with low embodied carbon.
