As a Summer Placement Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Nuclear team assisting in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in quantity surveying.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial resources of the project
- Assist in maximising gross profit for projects
- Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, and value work performed by sub‑contractors
- Help prepare and submit tenders and contract documents
- Collaborate with the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements
Qualifications
- Students undertaking a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- 8‑week placement across July and August; must return to university upon completion
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ideally hold a full driving licence
