As a Summer Placement Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Water team assisting in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in quantity surveying.

• Assist in maximising gross profit for projects.
• Assess, review, and mitigate commercial/contractual risks as well as value work executed by sub‑contractors.
• Help prepare and submit tenders and contract documents.
• Collaborate with the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements.

Placement Details

We're on the lookout for students undertaking a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Join us for an 8‑week placement across July - August. You must return to university upon completion of your placement.

About the Project

You will be working on our Sewage/Water Treatment Plant project, part of Southern Water, within the Natural Resources, Nuclear and Network team based in Falmer. Our division provides design, build and maintenance solutions to protect the UK's essential services and assets.
