Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited's Macquarie Capital team invites ambitious undergraduates or master’s students to a nine-week Summer Intern programme. You'll gain exposure to how businesses, investors and governments access advice, capital and strategic opportunities, working on projects across advisory, capital raising and live transactions.

You'll build financial analysis, valuation and modelling skills, draft client presentations, and track market trends while collaborating with leaders on live deals.

Qualifications

• Penultimate or final-year undergraduate or master’s student in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical thinking and numerical acumen with attention to detail.
• Commercial curiosity about financial services, markets and companies.
• Proactive, initiative-taking and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear communication and collaboration within a team; structured work style.
• Some Excel experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to client projects across sectors, from generalist to specialist roles.
• Build financial analysis, valuation and financial modelling skills.
• Draft client presentations and pitch materials to turn ideas into opportunities.
• Support strategic M&A advisory, capital raising and live transaction activities.
• Track market news, share price movements, sector trends and transaction updates.
