Suite Attendant for Orient Express Sailing Yachts

Description

V.Ships Leisure is looking for Suite Attendant on behalf of Orient Express Sailing Yachts. The suite attendant is responsible for maintaining the standard of cleanliness in the guest suites assigned to her/him. The suite attendant also plays a vital role in ensuring our Guests’ comfort and well-being in their suites, through continuous elegant, professional interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • The suite attendant cleans the guest suites according to the instructions of the Chief Housekeeper, including providing a turndown service in the evenings.
  • Prior to passenger embarkation the room attendant will clean the cabins and corridors in such a way that no trace will appear of the previous occupants.
  • The cleaning must be of the highest standard and be strictly in accordance with the routines and instructions set by Orient Express.
  • A courteous verbal introduction should be made at the beginning of a cruise.
  • During the voyage the room attendant will closely adhere to the working instructions and routines set by the Chief Housekeeper.
  • Works collaboratively with the butlers’ team to ensure a great level of service overall.
  • Reports passenger complaints to the Chief Housekeeper without delay.
  • Performs all embarkation and disembarkation duties as per SOP.
  • Pays special attention to passengers until they have left the cabins for departure.
  • Takes special care when handling Company equipment and working material.
  • Takes part in linen handling and looking after inventories directed by the Chief Housekeeper.
  • Active participation in onboard training programs.
  • Additional duties, not mentioned here, will be expected as per management request.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
  • Languages: Fluent English.
  • Education: High school degree or related.
  • Previous professional experience: 2 – 3 years in a similar capacity in a luxury environment.
  • Shipboard experience: Not required but preferred.
  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Valid Pre-Employment Medical.
  • C1D visa mandatory for all positions.
