Murphy is recruiting for a SuccessFactors Business Analyst to work with our IT team in either London or Stone Cross. This is a 12 month fixed‑term contract role, potentially extendable. Operating in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and the USA, Murphy provides better engineered solutions to infrastructure sectors including transportation, water, power and natural resources. A day in the life of a Murphy SuccessFactors Business Analyst
- Serve as technical expert for SuccessFactors & ECP Payroll solution; engage with the SuccessFactors Community and user groups to ensure we maximize current and future capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into system requirements, design specifications and document new and/or existing application requirements; ensure that new or existing systems meet business requirements and practices, and that all application interface issues are understood, documented and addressed satisfactorily.
- Manage the change process: required changes to existing SuccessFactors configuration and integrations and create new ones based on business needs.
- Issue resolution: investigate and resolve complex payroll issues, providing timely and accurate solutions; work closely with stakeholders to address concerns and optimize processes.
- System upgrades and enhancements: collaborate with cross‑functional teams to manage upgrades and enhancements, conduct testing and ensure a smooth transition to new functionalities.
- Contribute to the strategic roadmap for global IT initiatives; work with senior leadership and key stakeholders to support organizational strategic objectives, leveraging SuccessFactors functionality to ease administrative burden and build efficient, effective, and scalable processes.
- Drive adoption, optimisation and transformation – ensure we fully leverage SuccessFactors to meet strategic business and talent needs and pursue continuous improvement in business processes, integration, automation and user experience.
- Partner with business teams – understand their needs and requirements, make recommendations for solutions, and roadmap and prioritise implementation to support ad‑hoc Murphy business objectives.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners – work with third‑party software and internal product, audit and security teams to ensure configuration and integrations are efficient, compliant and accurate.
Working experience as a business analyst for SAP HCM payroll/ ECP
- In‑depth payroll process knowledge, including tax calculations.
- Strong understanding of integration between ECP Employee Central Payroll, Employee Central, SAP ECC, and non‑SAP systems.
- Hands‑on experience designing and implementing solutions per business requirements.
- Experience with UKG (Kronos) or an equivalent T&A system.
- Ability to analyse extensive and complex ranges of data, information, processes and system solutions to produce effective and efficient business solutions.
- Good understanding of Employee Life Cycle Management processes in global organisations.
- Translate business requirements into system configuration objects and create solution designs for SuccessFactors Employee Management Solution in compliance with best practices.
- Analytical skills and strong learning ability – agility and willingness to acquire new competencies and adapt quickly to new tasks and environments.
