Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Weapons Engineering Instructor to deliver specialist training on sonar and tactical weapons systems at HM Naval Base Clyde, Faslane. Based onsite with a 37-hour week, you will support course development and ensure compliance with quality standards, while maintaining learner records and security controls.

The role requires Navy Weapons Engineering Watch Keeper experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage priorities in a specialist

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of submarine tactical weapons engineering systems; ideally experience on Astute-class submarines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sonar, integrated communications or weapons engineering disciplines.
• Experience working independently and managing priorities.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist Weapons Engineering training focused on sonar and tactical weapons systems.
• Review and update training materials to reflect developments.
• Provide technical support for course development and system changes.
• Complete training administration and learner records per quality standards.
• Support security compliance activities and audits.
