GSL Education are looking to appoint a dedicated Subject Specialist to join a supportive school in Chesterfield. This role is perfect for individuals with strong subject knowledge who are enthusiastic about sharing their skills, building pupil confidence, and supporting academic achievement.

Role Overview:
As a Subject Specialist, you will deliver high-quality lessons, provide focused academic support, and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities. You will work alongside teaching staff to enhance learning and encourage a genuine enthusiasm for your subject area.

As a Subject Specialist, you will:

  • Deliver subject-specific lessons to individuals or small groups.
  • Support classroom teachers with planning and delivering engaging content.
  • Provide targeted interventions to raise attainment.

Requirements for Subject Specialist:

  • Previous teaching, tutoring, or school-based experience (desirable).
  • A proactive and confident approach to supporting pupils.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
