Job Requirements and Application Process

The successful candidate will need to:

1. Be inspirational in the classroom with the ability to engage all learners.
2. Be acutely aware of the various barriers to learning coupled with experience and knowledge of how to overcome these barriers.
3. Be committed to high-quality teaching, learning, and improving outcomes for all students.
4. Have a strong and secure knowledge of the geography curriculum; teaching AQA at GCSE and A level would be advantageous but not essential. Successful applicants will be expected to teach KS3-5.
5. Be innovative, resilient, and self-motivated to drive departmental objectives forward.
6. Be very organized. Time management is key; you will be expected to manage your own diary, plan lessons, and contribute to departmental resources, including marking and providing bespoke feedback to students.
7. Take ownership of the progression and outcomes of individual students and the whole class.
