End star Elaine Page said she was in complete disbelief after being awarded a Damehood in the Kings Birthday Honours. Im still in that mode of complete disbelief the theatre actress said of her new title given for services to music and charity. Its been such a shock. And I think probably the word to say is astonished.

I was absolutely astonished to receive such a great honour from the King in recognition for music and the charitable organisations that I support its the ultimate privilege and Im just over the moon about it and absolutely thrilled. Its all very exciting. Ive got all these different emotions coming at me all at once. Im proud and I feel grateful and Im thrilled and suprised and so its been quite a lot to take in.

Others who were also honoured in the list announced last week included presenters Claudia Winkleman and Tessa Daly who were both given MBEs for services to broadcasting. The Who frontman Roger Daltry and actor Gary Oldman were knighted while actress Samantha Morton receives an OBE darts champ Luke Little receives the OBE and tennis champ Virginia Wade got a CBE.

ZENDAYA ACES THE RED CARPET

It was game set match for the actress who stunned at

the Challengers London premiere...

It might not have been the All England Lawn and

Tennis Club but Zendaya made sure to wear

Wimbledon Whites on the red carpet at the London

premiere of her new tennis movie Challengers.

We had a lot of time to prepare the 27-year-old

actress - who takes centre court as professional player

turned coach Tasha Duncan who endeavours to return

her husband and fellow champion back to winning

territory but is faced with a fault or two along the way

told HELLO! . We had tennis training together we

had rehearsals together and we worked out together.

So we created this safety and this camaraderie between us where we could really get to feeling comfortable.

And appearing alongside the Euphoria star is Josh OConnorm who played Prince Charles in The Crown as Tashis former flame Patrick.

Zendaya who is Executive Producer on the film opened up about her role and how she approached intimate scenes.

We had intimacy coordinators on set which was really important she said. Im very grateful that I came in an industry where that job already existed and I didnt have to request for one to exist. Its about doing everything you can to make sure that people are comfortable and safe because thats the only way to do your best work.

Challengers which also starts Broadway star Mike Faist as Art Donaldson Tashis parnter-protégé - marks a first for Zendoya playing a mother on screen.

When it comes to preparing for such a role she looked to family for inspiration.

The biggest inspiration were the mothers in my life around me. I have many little nieces and nephews and theyre like my borrowed children. I get to have fun and then give them back to their parents! Im definitely inspired by how they tackle and take on motherhood she told HELLO!.

Its no secret that Zendaya has marked the Challengers press tour as an opportunity to embrace the sports theme when it comes to fashion. And this evident during filming.

I had fun with the 2000s wardrobe it was a nice throwback. I loved Tashis tennis whites and the Juicy Couture zip-up.

At the glittering premiere the Dune star was on a winning streak in the fashion department. Styled by her long-time collaborator Law Roach she aced the red carpet in a sleeveless pristine white custom Thom Browne dress with a chic collar and a charming tennis racket pattern dotted throughout the design.

The floor-length gown also featured pleated detailing on the hem which was entwined with mesh fabric to emulate a tennis net.

Meanwhile Costume Designer for the film Jonathan Anderson explained to HELLO! that fashion forward-thinking is something that comes naturally to Zendaya.

The LOEWE Creative Director who was behind Zendayas intriguing tennis-ball stilettos she wore to the Rome premiere spoke about the experience of working with the Emmy Award-winning actress.

Z knows clothing inside out and she knows it sometimes better than I do he laughed. She knew exactly what she wanted from it and we were both on the same page. Zs easy to work with because she knew the character down the heartbeat of it. It was insane. Shes one of the best actresses of her generation at the moment.

Challenger is released in UK cinemas on 26th April.
