Overview

Sub Agent – Environment Agency

Salary: £35 - 45,000 + pkg
Location: Twickenham
Regions: London, Middlesex, South East, Surrey

We are currently seeking an established Sub Agent to work for a main Civil Contractor who works across the southern region on a variety of Civil engineering projects, mainly within the Environment Agency Framework. Role will be based in West London with the candidate expected to travel intermittently across the south to other projects.

Working for a main regional civil engineering contractor with a current turnover of c£300m, the client is looking for the right candidate to take on the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager in the execution of their duties, and management of smaller construction contracts
  • Management of site staff operatives and sub-contractors
  • Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and project management plans
  • Understand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets
  • Preparing and monitoring programme of work
  • Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors
  • Manage design co-ordination
  • Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts
  • Inform, consult and involve local groups as necessary
  • Good relations and reputation with clients
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent qualified
  • You will have experience in the civils Engineering sector
  • Environment Agency experience
  • Working with the NEC form of contract
  • A good communicator with the ability to instruct and direct staff
  • A good organiser, both of self and others with the ability to think in advance
  • Experienced in people management and motivation of staff
