Job summary

Infocus Resources is seeking a proactive Project Coordinator to lead and mentor a delivery team on construction and logistics projects in the UK. You will monitor progress against programmes, manage subcontractors, and ensure clear, accurate site records.

The role requires a degree in Construction/Engineering/Logistics or related, CSCS and SMSTS/SSSTS, and strong leadership, communication and commercial awareness. You will work with client representatives to deliver objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in construction/engineering/logistics.
• CSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager.
• SMSTS/ SSSTS.

Responsibilities

Job description

Eligibility criteria

Many positions within the project are subject to national security clearance restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.

Project Coordination / Delivery

• Leading, supervising and mentoring your reportees and other team members.
• Monitoring and recording delivery against the agreed programme and construction methods, identifying shortfalls and devising mitigation to minimise programme impacts.
• Managing the engineering team and subcontractors to ensure that works are accurately and clearly set out before work commences.
• Reviewing the daily diary records under your supervision to ensure a high standard of record keeping is being maintained.

Communication with Stakeholders / Leadership

• Communicating effectively at all levels including site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, planners, engineers, supervisory staff operatives, suppliers, third parties and client representatives.
• Maintaining good working relations with client, delivery teams, support teams, supply chain and others.
• Review with the agent regularly the performance, development and training needs of subordinate staff, including underperformance or potential resignations.
• Communicate with general foreman to ensure adequate work preparation and resources availability.

Health, Safety and Quality

• Maintaining high personal standards and behaviour in health and safety, environmental and supporting others in the same.
• Reviewing, authorising and ensuring written risk assessments and activity plans/method statements are in place prior to works commencing for all activities within your area of responsibility.
• Reviewing and ensuring that Inspection and Test Plans and checklist are in place and being followed.
• Devising site processes for maintaining records in line with client and KBJV requirements and ensuring these are followed by other members of the team.

Commercial Management

• Assist with the monthly and quarterly commercial forecast and reporting for your areas of project.
• Ensuring sufficient resources (labour, plant, materials and subcontractors) are procured and available in sufficient time to deliver the activities within your area of responsibility.
• Support the agent as required in operating the cost management system, the production of programmes and QF preparation.

Technical Responsibilities

• Adopt and promote the use of BIM technologies to deliver the requirements of the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Ensure all records for measurement and payment purposes are prepared promptly, in appropriate form.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree, HND, HNC, NVQ in Construction/Engineering/Logistics or equivalent.
• Proven track record in delivering construction/civils/logistics operations.
• CSCS Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager.
• SMSTS/ SSSTS.
• Management skills (control and management of employees).
• Commercially aware with excellent organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and organisation.
• Proactive approach to work.
• Working as part of a team to deliver objective of the department and project.
• Enthusiastic, Collaborative approach.
• Experienced in lifting operations.
