Clear Links Support is recruiting for One-to-One Study Skills Specialists to support to students with an autism spectrum condition studying in Edinburgh and Sunderland. You will work with students to develop study skills required for higher education, including information acquisition, recall, and retention, plus memory, organisation, attention, and numeracy strategies.

There are flexible hours and a competitive hourly pay rate with holiday pay (£30.00 + £3.62 per hour).

Qualifications

• A degree (any subject).
• A teaching qualification (Level 7 or above) OR a PGCert in Autism.

Study Skills Specialist (Autism Spectrum Condition)

Clear Links Support is recruiting for One-to-One Study Skills Specialists to support to students with an autism spectrum condition studying in Edinburgh and Sunderland.

The Role

You will be working with students to provide strategies to develop the study skills required when studying in higher education. This includes skills in acquiring, recalling, and retaining information in written and spoken language, and strategies to develop memory, organisation, attention, and numeracy skills. Pay: £30 per hour plus £3.62 holiday pay per hour.

Requirements

Applicants must be available to provide in person support at either Univeristy of Edinburgh or University of Sunderland.

Applicants Should Have

• A degree (any subject) and;
• A teaching qualification (Level 7 or above) OR a PGCert in Autism and;

• Optimum Student Support training course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education: Recognising and addressing the barriers through Non-Medical Helper (NMH) Mentoring and Study Skills Strategies
