"Before G-Research I’d completed internships at a few companies whilst studying Computer Science at the University of York. Since joining, I’ve progressed from an intern to a graduate to an engineer, having worked on systems and technology core to the business my entire time."

"There was a lot I didn't know about G-Research, so I gained insights from those who interviewed me. They all came across as intelligent, curious and interested in exploring problems from different angles. I figured if people like this enjoy their jobs then I most certainly will."

I am Sam. My name's Matthew. My name's Kasha. My name's Sophie. My name's Ben. All of the interns are supervised by a mentor who’s a full-time quant researcher. On the day to day, we’re doing a lot of coding, reading papers, and trying to bring new maths together to solve problems. We’re an intern in data science; projects involve data analysis and developing strategies to merge multiple time series. For example, one internship focused on developing visualization tools for data sets our team processes. Other roles include security operations, and infrastructure engineering, with culture described as a fusion between academia and tech in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be placed in a team with mentors and peers to bounce ideas and gain real-world application. There are team socials to meet people across the internship, and many interns have progressed to graduate roles.
