Job summary

West Coventry Academy is seeking a dedicated Refocus Lead to join our pastoral team to support personal development and wellbeing of students in a safe and respectful environment.

The role focuses on targeted behaviour support, data analysis, and coordinating daily operations of the Refocus provision within Years 7–11. We offer professional development and a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience working in a pastoral role or with students in a support role.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Commitment to supporting the learning and development of students.
• Commitment to supporting the values and ethos of the school.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective pastoral care for Years 7-11 in a safe, supportive environment.
• Coordinate the running of the Refocus Room.
• Analyse data, monitor attendance, and manage home/school liaison.
• Support students and promote their social development and wellbeing in line with policies.
