Job summary

A higher education provider in East London seeks a part-time Student Welfare Officer to support student wellbeing and engagement throughout their studies. Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the DDA and SENDA guidelines.
  • Experience selecting and using assessment materials.

Responsibilities

  • Manage student referrals alongside the Student Welfare Manager.
  • Provide pastoral support to students experiencing emotional issues.
  • Assist with organizing health and wellbeing social activities.

Skills

Bachelor's degree in a relevant area, preferably health related
Experience in an adjacent or similar role, preferably within higher education
Knowledge of the DDA and SENDA guidelines
Experience with a range of physical disabilities and learning difficulties
Ability to discuss students' needs sensitively
