Job description
Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Student Welfare Coordinator to join our Lifeskills team based at Oxford College campus.

Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to help ensure retention and achievement of students receiving Additional Learning Support within Lifeskills Faculty. This includes the 16‑19 programme, monitoring pastoral needs and working with the team to ensure best practice and support the transition into our programmes for internal and external learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Lifeskills faculty and wider College Group services.
  • Support students with learning support (High Needs) and other care needs to be adequately provided for.
  • Work closely with a dedicated team committed to making a difference to High Needs learners.
Employment Details

This position is offered as maternity cover and will be on a fixed‑term basis. It is a part‑time role, working 18.5 hours per week (0.42 FTE), with the contract running until November 2026.

What You Need to Be Successful
  • A minimum GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
  • Understanding of a student‑centred approach and ability to offer varying support strategies to cover diverse learning needs.
  • Experience working with a range of learners including MLD, PMLD and SEMH.
  • Ability to develop creative and innovative strategies to deal effectively with learners with a range of needs.
