Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a proactive Student Support Specialist to help learners overcome barriers to learning, improve academic performance, and achieve personal and educational goals. You will deliver one-to-one and small group support across attendance, literacy, numeracy, study skills and wellbeing, while motivating learners and building confidence.

You will liaise with staff, parents and external agencies, maintain records and contribute to progress reviews, with safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners in educational, mentoring, coaching, or support roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse learners.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire learners from varied backgrounds.
• Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities.
• A proactive, learner-centred approach to support.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional learning needs.
• Knowledge of further education, apprenticeships or employability programmes.
• Qualifications in coaching, mentoring, youth work, education or guidance.

• Monitor learner progress, attendance, punctuality and engagement.
• Identify barriers to learning and develop strategies to support success.
• Set targets with learners and create action plans to achieve goals.
• Support confidence, resilience, motivation and personal development.
• Liaise with curriculum staff, parents/carers and external agencies as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to progress reviews.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion and learner wellbeing.
• Support learners during enrichment activities, work placements and transitions.

Salary: 130 Pounds per day ( depending on your experience )

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and supportive Student Support Specialist to work with learners across a range of programmes, helping them overcome barriers to learning, improve their academic performance, and achieve their personal and educational goals.

The successful candidate will provide one-to-one and small group support, focusing on attendance, engagement, literacy, numeracy, study skills, wellbeing, and personal development. You will play a key role in motivating learners, building confidence, and supporting positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one coaching and mentoring to support learner achievement and progression.
