Job Description

Role: PLC Coordinator

Academy: Outwood Academy Ormesby

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Salary (Actual Salary): GRADE 6 SCP 12-14 (£23,527.91 to £25,691.64)

About The Academy

Outwood Academy Ormesby can be found in the town of Middlesbrough in the north‑east of England. Our goal is to continuously improve and become a leading academy in the region. Through strong leadership, we empower our staff to excel and ensure that students receive the best possible education and outcomes. The academy provides an excellent environment for professional development and making a positive impact on the lives of students in the area. At our academy, we have highly trained staff and effective safeguarding measures in place to support all staff members. Additionally, the SLT and staff work together effectively to ensure that all students are actively engaged in their education.

About The Role

Outwood Academy Ormesby seeks to appoint a colleague to coordinate our bespoke provisions to our wonderful student community. You will join our existing Inclusion team and become a member of the Outwood family. Working as part of the Inclusion team, you will promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students with a view to achieving full integration back into mainstream school, following a measurable provision delivered by yourself. This is a challenging but rewarding role for the right candidate. You will work closely with the senior leadership team and the Inclusion team to manage the room and provide appropriate and personalised timetables for individual students and groups.

We are sure you already have the aspiration to 'transform lives' and this role will allow you to explore the possibilities of delivering alternative courses to cohorts of students to provide them with relevant qualifications. We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences. As such we are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious professionals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.
