A therapeutic school is looking for a Student Support Mentor in Knossington. This role involves supporting young people’s learning and engagement, leading outdoor sessions, and delivering 1:1 interventions. Salary: £20,906.25 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday-Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm | Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Start Date: November 2025

As a Student Support Mentor, you’ll play a vital role in shaping young lives both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll work alongside our teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to create a positive, nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. From supporting classroom learning to leading outdoor sessions, enrichment activities, and 1:1 interventions — no two days will be the same. You’ll help students grow in confidence, develop independence, and discover what they’re truly capable of.
The Grange Therapeutic School is an independent school for students aged 8-18 years with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Our school is based in a Victorian country house near Oakham with stunning views and fantastic facilities to develop not only the educational, but also the social and emotional needs of our pupils. With access to woods and lakes on site, the school has an ethos about delivering a personalised curriculum tailored to, and driven by, the individuals. Behaviour is currently rated as “Outstanding” by Ofsted.

You’ll work 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy. 4DWW is subject to successful completion of probation and is not a contractual benefit.
