Qualifications

• Possess or be willing to work towards a Literacy and Numeracy qualification at Level 2 or above.
• Possess an appropriate support qualification or be willing to undertake training.
• Possess appropriate IT skills relevant to the post.
• Have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Demonstrate motivation and skills to support students with disabilities.
• Have previous relevant experience.
• Be willing to undertake training and development.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective support for individual or groups of students in a classroom.
• Encourage student interactions and engage them in activities.
• Keep accurate records of support provided and students' progress.
• Assist with general pastoral care of students.

Skills

Literacy and Numeracy qualification at Level 2 or above

Support qualification or willingness to undertake training

IT skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook

Ability to work independently

Motivation to support students with disabilities

Previous relevant experience
