Job summary

The Students' Union at the University of Bath is recruiting a Sports Coordinator to help deliver a vibrant, inclusive sport offer for over 50 student clubs. You will coordinate competitive sport, support club committees, and build opportunities for participation across all levels.

Working with a dynamic team, you will deliver BUCS fixtures, events, trips and initiatives, while ensuring high-quality experiences and strong student leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating events, projects or activities within a sport, education, charity or membership-led environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience supporting volunteers, committees or student leaders to deliver successful activities and events.
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, UK sport structures, competition systems and governing bodies.
• Confidence using digital systems and managing administrative and financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of competitive student sport, including BUCS leagues, tournaments, fixtures and logistics; ensure high-quality participation.
• Work closely with student club committees to support events, trips, tours and wider club activities; empower student leaders.
• Help deliver major Students' Union sporting events and initiatives; contribute to inclusive sport that supports wellbeing and engagement.
• Be part of a team that champions student development, manages resources responsibly, and uses feedback to enhance the sport experience.
