Job description
Overview

One of our key strategic aims is our unrelenting focus on our people‑first culture, ensuring you feel valued, empowered, and recognised for your individual contributions and expertise whether that be in a teaching capacity or a professional services team. All colleagues within the College contribute to the success of our students and we actively work to eliminate any barriers at work, ensuring you have the opportunity to thrive. This role involves providing accurate and timely information, advice and guidance (IAG) to enquiries from students, potential students and all stakeholders, whether in person, by telephone, or electronically. You will ensure they receive appropriate information to access relevant learning opportunities.

You will support a seamless transition from application to enrolment, ensuring the efficient processing of student applications within established timelines. Additionally, you will coordinate and arrange Course Information Meetings or induction events as required, ensuring all necessary steps are completed to prepare students for their studies.

You will provide a welcoming front‑of‑house reception service for students, staff, and visitors, and efficiently deliver key Student Services tasks, promoting the department as a one‑stop shop for student support and referring to specialist services when needed.

You will maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of funding and residency policies to provide reliable guidance and meet audit requirements. Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills are essential.

We have four main sites across the city with state‑of‑the‑art facilities. Further future investment in our estates is now allowing us to provide the best possible outcomes for our students and local communities, delivered by our fantastic community of colleagues.

At City of Bristol College, we have one goal: to help our students succeed. We offer the widest range of academic and vocational qualifications in the area, with more than 1,000 courses available from entry to degree level and we provide education and training to approximately 10,000 students each year.

Our people‑first ethos provides a highly supportive, flexible approach to enable you to excel within your role and to reach your full potential.

  • Paid Volunteering leave (3 days a year).
