At the end of 2024 Bayswater acquired Leeds English Language School the citys first established language school and we are now in an exciting period of transition. We are looking for a Student Services Manager to lead our student experience and welfare provision. This role sits at the heart of the school ensuring that every student feels welcomed supported and inspired from their first enquiry to their final day.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and caring leader passionate about customer service with energy and creativity to bring student life to Leeds.

Key Responsibilities
Student Welfare & Care
  • Lead on the welfare safety and care of students at all times ensuring policies are clear and consistently applied.
  • Provide extra support and safeguarding for under-18s upholding Bayswaters duty of care.
  • Act as the first point of contact for students needing assistance offering support with empathy and discretion.
Student Experience
  • Lead engaging pre-arrival sessions student inductions and satisfaction surveys.
  • Design and deliver a vibrant social programme including guest lectures social events and cultural visits.
  • Attend activities gather student feedback and capture content for social media.
Operations & Customer Service
  • Oversee day-to-day student services operations from enrolments and bookings to accommodation placements.
  • Ensure efficient systems and processes that contribute to an outstanding client and student experience.
  • Manage reception duties including welcoming visitors handling enquiries and maintaining a professional front-of-house.
  • Support the sales journey through walk-in enquiries and course bookings.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work closely with Sales Marketing Admissions Finance and Academic colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Support agents visiting the school showcasing Bayswater Leeds with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Lead staff confidently through organisational change ensuring the team stays motivated and aligned.
Facilities & Compliance
  • Ensure the school environment is safe welcoming and compliant at all times.
  • Open and close the building securely ensuring everything is ready for students each day.
  • Maintain governance compliance and safeguarding standards.
Groups & Summer
  • Coordinate and deliver summer and group programmes ensuring smooth operations and outstanding experiences.
  • Oversee accommodation activities and student services for groups.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure these programmes meet both quality and commercial goals.
Knowledge Skills & Experience
  • Safeguarding qualification (desirable)
  • Experience working with international students or in a student services / admissions role (desirable)
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead staff through change with positivity and resilience
  • Flexible solutions-focused and highly collaborative
  • A passion for delivering a time of their lives experience to every student
Legal Requirements
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure (safeguarding requirement).
  • Commitment to completing safeguarding training at the start of employment
