Balfour Beatty plc in Scotland is offering a Student Placement - Quantity Surveyor on our placement programme. You will gain hands-on experience, work with experienced surveyors and project teams, and contribute to live infrastructure projects in the UK.
The role opens pathways to the Graduate Programme and broad professional development. You will enrol in a degree that includes a placement, with a typical duration of 20–30 weeks, and a start window of June–September 2027.

As a Student Placement - Quantity Surveyor, you'll join our Student Placement Programme and gain hands‑on experience while contributing to some of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. From day one, you'll take on real responsibility, develop technical and professional skills, and work alongside experienced colleagues who will support your growth. You'll also be part of a supportive early careers community, building valuable industry experience and developing the knowledge and skills needed for your future career.
In this role, you'll join one of ourUKCS - Regional Scotland teams, based in Maxim Park (Eurocentral, Motherwell).
A a Student Placement - Quantity Surveyor, you’ll gain valuable industry experience supporting the commercial management of major infrastructure and construction projects. Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and project teams, you’ll develop your understanding of cost control, procurement, contract management, forecasting, and commercial performance while contributing to live project activities.
