We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Opportunities Officerwithin the Careers and Student Opportunities Directoratefor afixed termuntilJanuary 2028.The key aims of the role are to support with the development and implementation of our Professional Mentoring, Go Abroad and Volunteering programmes and wider initiatives. This will involve engaging with students, recent graduates and external stakeholders to maximise participation and drive graduate employment outcomes.
Our Student Opportunities Project Officers work within the sector-aligned Student Opportunities Team, sourcing and promoting volunteering opportunities, supporting Professional Mentoring, Go Abroad and Volunteering events from bespoke masterclasses to being present at large scale careers fairs for over 1000 students.
We are looking for someone with previous experience of working with employers, community organisations and partners. You should have experience of working to targets and working on multiple projects simultaneously. You will be comfortable working independently while playing a pivotal part in a small, fast-paced and ambitious team seeking to make a real impact on student’s and graduate’s prospects.
This vacancy is only open to Birmingham City University graduates from the academic year 2024/25. To be eligible, you must have completed your course between 1 August 2024 and 31 July 2025, and you must no longer be studying.
