The Student Experience Officer's role is to provide a high level of administrative and operational service within the ISC, both online and face-to-face. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of services and processes enabling the site to function effectively. This will require good people skills and a high level of administrative ability. The post holder will deliver a reception service, respond to routine student enquiries and become a skilled user of the internal student records system. Responsibilities
- Ensuring the smooth running of the reception and other student-facing environments to deal with general student queries - face to face, on the VLE, by email and phone
- Provide general advice to students on local and travel information, help with opening bank accounts, issue confirmation letters, ID cards, letter requests, Student cards, complaints etc.
- Working as part of a team to deliver student activities and events providing support to team members carrying out the activities and ensuring venues, catering/refreshments, and equipment are booked as appropriate
- Ensure the Centre has adequate furniture, clocks and classroom provision for the teaching of its students by ensuring termly audit checks are carried out
- Be actively involved in student registration at all intake points to ensure student records are updated, relevant documentation uploaded
- Support late arrivals with registration and orientation processes
- To ensure data is uploaded and updated as required within the student information system
- Keep accurate up, to date records, report BRP errors, chase outstanding compliance and other documentation.
- Assist colleagues to contact absent students and inform parents and agents when necessary.
- Liaise with central teams to update student bookings with Study Plan changes, including booster classes and exam resits.
- Update student progression data on student information system.
- Ensure student reports are accurate and timely.
- Assist with the release of assessment screens termly.
- Assist with invigilation of assessments as required.
- Assist with the verification process of assessments.
- Assist with the security, collation, distribution, collection and archiving of assessments, examination scripts and documentation.
- Working as part of a team to ensure professional and timely information and reporting is released to external stakeholders including: parents, sponsors, guardians, agents, Study Group colleagues in the UK and overseas, partner university
- Participate in any agent visits or marketing of the centre
- Provide resources and support for other teams, as required
- To provide general administration support for the centre as required and cover administration duties for other members of staff when absent and during peak periods
- To carry out any duties, as reasonably required by the Centre Management team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- Supporting students in an educational context
- Working in a regulated environment
- Working in customer service
