University of Sunderland Students’ Union is seeking an individual to join the Student Communities Team in Sunderland. You will work with a wide range of student leaders to mobilise student-led change using community organising techniques and to enhance student skills development.

This role offers a varied remit across different areas of student engagement, following the ongoing rollout of a new community-led approach to democracy and student empowerment at Sunderland.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting student leadership activity and representation.
• Ability to work with a wide range of student leaders.
• Understanding of community organising approaches.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with student leaders to mobilise change using community organising techniques.
• Support officer roles, societies, student representation, volunteering and campaigns.
• Contribute to developing student skills through engagement activities.
