Job summary

King Edward VI School in England is seeking an assistant role to support the Senior Leadership Team in the Reset Room. You will log attendance, assist with behaviour needs, and deliver basic learning activities aligned with classroom expectations.

The role requires Level 2 GCSE English and Maths and experience working with young people. Term-time hours, with a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027, and a salary of £22,484–£25,237 per annum.

Hours: 32.5 hours Weeks: 39 (term time + 1)

Your role:

You will be assisting the Senior Leadership Team in the running of our Reset Room.

Your responsibilities:

You will work alongside colleagues offering support to students, logging their attendance and giving immediate assistance to any behaviour needs. You will also provide basic learning activities that mirror classroom expectations.

You will need:
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills. EitherLevel 2 – GCSE grade ‘4’ or above in English and Maths
  • Experience of working with young people is essential – within a school setting would be an advantage but not a requirement.
