Structural Technician

£37k-£43k plus benefits

Our client is an established, award-winning practice with a network of successful offices. They provide multi-discipline engineering with a passion for innovation, excellence and sustainability.

Their busy office in Peterborough is looking for a Structural Technician to join the team, who provide engineering consultancy for projects within automotive, commercial, retail, education, residential and commercial sectors.

Working alongside the structural engineering lead, you will have at least 3 years' experience within a UK consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the structural engineering lead on projects across automotive, commercial, retail, education, residential and commercial sectors.
• Produce accurate drawings and model representations; develop general arrangement layouts and models in detailing of structures and foundations in core materials of steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
• Coordinate work with other teams and participate in external meetings as required; communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience within a UK consultancy.
• Experience working as part of a wider project team on building structures.
• Able to use your own initiative and coordinate work with other teams.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail; strong technical ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
