Job Summary

This central Newcastle (NE1) Engineering Consultancy is seeking to expand its building structures design team with the hire of a structural Revit technician in order to deliver its expanding workload.

Project Scope

As a practice they work on Civil/Structural projects across the North, ranging in value from £1.5m to £25m in construction value. Their projects are both new build and refurbishment in nature and they deliver both civil/structural design services and CDM.

Role Focus

This is a technical focused role with a strong emphasis on the application and development of the use of BIM / Revit within the business. Revit is already widely used in the practice and this appointment will indicate an increased focus on its deployment on their projects.

Responsibilities

Alongside the production of Revit models the role will have elements of attending site, making design decisions along with the engineers and report writing. A good opportunity for a structural technician to take on a new challenge and be involved in the development of a consultancies BIM capability.
