Job description

A Structural Technician is required by my Client, a modern and dynamic Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Consultancy who is at a very exciting stage of growth and can offer some very interesting and varied schemes of work to be involved in.

As a Structural Technician you will possess a good amount of experience of having worked ideally within consultancy led environment and will have the experience required to be able to work closely with structural engineers to provide technical support and assistance on a variety of projects.

This role is ideal for a Structural Technician confident in their skills and expertise and seeking a combined CAD / Revit based role.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to:

• Prepare structural drawings and details using AutoCAD
• Utilise Revit to produce required structural drawings and details as required on projects
• Utilise Revit to model structural projects / integrate families / BIM
• Have knowledge and experience in common build materials to be able to work on a range of schemes: logistics, healthcare, specialist healthcare facilities, commercial etc.

Its important to have excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work. Given this is a close-knit / working team it is essential you have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
