Qualifications
- Experience in structural steel, architectural metalwork, fabrication or related subcontracting.
- Ability to produce accurate estimates from drawings and specifications.
- Comfort reviewing tender documents and taking-off quantities.
- Open to candidates at different levels of experience with salary aligned to background.
Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and quotations for structural steel and metalwork projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents.
- Carry out take-offs and measure quantities.
- Obtain prices for materials, labour and subcontracted works.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and assess fabrication requirements.
- Identify commercial risks in tender documents.
- Prepare and submit competitive tenders.
- Support projects through handover from estimating into delivery.
